Lesson 1: Recruitment Pipeline Overview (10 min)¶

The Recruitment Pipeline¶
Applications move through stages on a kanban board:

|---|---|
| New | Application received, initial review needed |
| Qualified | Resume reviewed, meets basic requirements |
| Interview | Scheduled for interview(s) |
| Offer | Offer extended to candidate |
| Hired | Offer accepted, begin onboarding |
Navigation¶
Open the Recruitment app from the Odoo menu:
- Applications — View all applications across all positions
- Job Positions — Manage open positions and their pipelines
- Configuration — Stages, departments, job titles
Creating a Job Position¶
- Go to Recruitment > Job Positions
- Click New
- Enter the Job Title and Department
- Add the Job Description (this appears on the careers page)
- Set the Expected Employees count
- Publish to make it visible on the careers page
Write Clear Job Descriptions
Good job descriptions attract better candidates. Include responsibilities, requirements, and what makes Scott Recycling a great place to work.
Lesson 2: Managing Applications (10 min)¶

- Review and process incoming applications
- Schedule interviews
- Move candidates through the pipeline
Processing Applications¶
- Open a Job Position to see its kanban board
- New applications appear in the New column
- Click an application card to review:
- Resume — Attached documents
- Contact info — Phone, email
- Source — How they found the posting
- Notes — Internal notes from reviewers
Moving Candidates Forward¶
Drag the application card to the next stage, or open the application and use the status bar:

| Make offer | Drag to Offer column |
| Hire | Drag to Hired column — triggers employee creation |
| Reject | Click Refuse button — sends rejection email if configured |
Scheduling Interviews¶
- Open the application
- Click Schedule Activity
- Set activity type to Interview
- Set the date, time, and assign to the interviewer
- Add notes about what to cover
- The interviewer receives a notification
Interview Notes
After each interview, add notes to the application record. This creates a history that helps with final decisions and compliance.
